Police brutality and new technologies in the United States of America

This article analyses the impact of New Technologies on American society in general and on the relations between Whites and Blacks in partic-ular with an emphasis on white police brutality against Blacks or African Americans. With the use of cameras and mostly the advent of Smartphones and Social Media having given birth to citizen journalism, the acts of White police officers victimizing African Americans for racist reasons are now un-covered. They are filmed with Smartphones by ordinary citizens who instantly posted them on Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, and You Tube for a large broadcasting inside America and elsewhere. Is this era of New Tech-nologies starting the eradication of race-related police brutality in the United States? Through a document based analysis, the present analysis aims to show the police brutality racially motivated can be reduced but not stopped in spite of new technologies which help expose them. Though filmed scenes are widely broadcasted so as to facilitate criminal procedures in justice, those unhuman acts persist.
